Between our Tuscany Wine Tours we are very glad to offer you our best seller: the Chianti Wine Tour from Florence, that will start from your accommodation or from any Tuscany Town to take you into the heart of the Chianti wine region and find the best Tuscan Winery for an exclusive Chianti wine tasting experience.

With our luxury comfortable vehicles we will drive you through the hidden routs of the Chianti hills covered with vineyards of Sangiovese grape, olive groves and scattered with ancient stone farmhouses and Tuscany villas, once the residence of peasants and noble families, today often exclusive residences and places dedicated to the best chianti wine tasting.

You will reach some medieval villages among which the most famous is certainly Greve in Chianti where you will stop for a stroll, have a cappuccino or a first glass of Chianti wine and some shopping while your driver guide will introduce you to the life of the Tuscany countryside and its traditions.

Soon after we will head to a first well rated Chianti winery where the winemakers will welcome you to visit the historical cellars giving you an introduction to the production methods of the famous Chianti Classico, made with Sangiovese, the typical Chianti grape, which thanks to its fruity taste and aging in noble wood barrels, resists easily at the time.

You will then enjoy your lunch based on real home made Tuscan food, each of the 4 dishes paired with one of the 4 different Chianti wines.

You will have time to relax and stop to take some unforgettable pictures in the Tuscany countryside, among the vineyards and between the olive trees, then we will head towards a second Chianti winery.

We will choose this second location in order to make you even more familiar with the taste of Chianti and its production techniques. During the second part of your wine tour Chianti, your driver will give you some advices on wine tasting and some information about the history and characteristics of our wines.

The winemakers will welcome you for a second Chianti wine tasting.

We usually propose two experiences but our office will be pleased to reserve a third Chianti winery for another wine tasting chianti in case you need.

Your personal driver, fluent in English, will be at your disposal to make your journey as comfortable and personalized as possible, to discover the true Tuscany and its heart: the Chianti.

HISTORY NOTES

The origins of vine cultivation in Tuscany are lost in the mists of time.

Already our Etruscan ancestors 6 centuries B. C. were famous for the production of Chianti wine which was transported in amphorae through the Mediterranean ports.

The Chianti region, which stretches between Florence and Siena has become famous since Roman times. The gentle, well-lit hills, the warm summer and cold winter climate, the very stony soil in which rain is drained quickly and flows into small rivers at the bottom of the valleys, the oak and pine forests that maintain an exceptional microclimate for the cultivation of vine have made Chianti wine production area one of the most important in Italy and among the most famous in the world. If you are in Tuscany you can't help but see and tasting Chianti.
