Traveler reviews

Embark on a journey through the heart of Tuscany with our San Gimignano and Chianti Wine Tour. Your day begins in the early afternoon with a visit to the enchanting medieval town of San Gimignano, renowned for its iconic stone towers and timeless charm. You’ll have time to stroll through its cobbled streets, explore artisan shops, and soak in the authentic atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Following your visit, we will head to a carefully selected local and authentic winery, known for its authenticity and high-quality production. Here, you’ll enjoy a guided wine tasting featuring the celebrated Vernaccia di San Gimignano, one of Italy’s finest white wines, along with a selection of robust Chianti reds.

Afterwards, we will take you to a local and authentic Tuscan farmhouse, where your experience will begin with a welcoming aperitif, followed by a traditional dinner served on a spectacular panoramic terrace overlooking vineyards and olive groves.

The dinner includes a selection of appetizers featuring local cold cuts and artisanal cheeses, accompanied by bruschetta drizzled with extra-virgin olive oil. This will be followed by a homemade pasta course, dressed with a fresh, seasonal sauce, a main meat course with a side dish, and a delicious homemade dessert.

All the ingredients used in the preparation of the dishes are local, and many of them are grown and produced directly on the farm, ensuring authenticity and exceptional quality.

During the evening, you will enjoy a guided tasting of three different wines produced on the estate, carefully paired with each course to enhance the flavors of the meal.

An unforgettable Tuscan experience not to be missed!

Q&A

  • Question: What makes this San Gimignano wine tour special compared to a standard daytime visit, and why add an aperi-dinner in a Tuscan Farm?

Answer: This experience combines the best of both worlds: free time in San Gimignano in the early afternoon, then a relaxed countryside evening with a true San Gimignano wine tour and aperi-dinner in a Tuscan Farm. You enjoy the medieval town first, then move into the vineyards for a slower, more authentic Tuscan rhythm—wine, views, and a full farm dinner on a panoramic terrace.

  • Question: Is this a San Gimignano and Chianti Wine Tour, and what wines will we taste during the wine tasting?

Answer: Yes, it’s a curated San Gimignano and Chianti Wine Tour featuring a guided wine tasting at a local, authentic winery. You’ll taste the celebrated Vernaccia di San Gimignano—one of Italy’s finest white wines—alongside a selection of robust Chianti reds, with explanations about grapes, production, and how to taste like a local.

  • Question: What do we do in San Gimignano before the winery, and how much time is there to explore?

Answer: Your afternoon starts with time to discover San Gimignano at your own pace: stroll the cobbled streets, enjoy the iconic towers, and browse artisan shops in this UNESCO-listed medieval town. Then the tour continues into the countryside for a carefully timed wine tasting and the evening farm experience—so you get both sightseeing and a true Tuscan food-and-wine immersion in one itinerary.

  • Question: What is included in the aperi-dinner in a Tuscan Farm, and is it a real farm-to-table experience?

Answer: It’s a genuine farm dinner designed around local traditions: a welcoming aperitif, then appetizers with local cold cuts, artisanal cheeses, and bruschetta with extra-virgin olive oil, followed by homemade pasta, a main meat course with a side dish, and a homemade dessert. Many ingredients are produced directly on the estate, so the aperi-dinner in a Tuscan Farm feels authentic, seasonal, and deeply connected to the territory.

  • Question: How does the evening wine pairing work during the farm dinner, and what makes it unforgettable?

Answer: During the dinner, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting of three different wines produced on the estate, thoughtfully paired course-by-course to enhance each flavor. Add a spectacular panoramic terrace overlooking vineyards and olive groves, the warm atmosphere of a working Tuscan farmhouse, and the combination of Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Chianti—and you get an unforgettable Tuscany evening that’s hard to replicate on a typical day tour.
