The enchanting village of Bolgheri is located right on the south coast of Tuscany in the so called “Costa degli Etruschi” . Protected by a pinewood forest from the saltiness of the sea, the wine region of Bolgheri is covered by vineyards settled in a superb microclimate. Bolgheri is the land of some of the most exclusive wines produced worldwide, the home of very smooth fancy Super tuscan wines.
The most important characteristic you will discover during your Bolgheri wine tour is that here only international French grapes are used, such as Cabernet and Merlot, which have found in the soil of Bolgheri and its mild climate a perfect allocation giving excellent wine quality results such as in Sassicaia, produced by San Guido Winery, or in Masseto, produced by Ornellaia.
We will visit our first boutique wine estate late morning where an expert of the winery will introduce you to the company's traditions in the vineyards and through the cellar and following he will guide in a complete Bolgheri Super Tuscan wine tasting.
Our tour will continue at a local Trattoria where you can taste local delicacies accompanied by a Bolgheri Wine Tasting of the most famous and renowned labels of the region. In fact the restaurant can offer you a selection of the best vintages of Sassicaia, Masseto, Guado al Tasso Antinori, Argentiera and all the most important wines of Bogheri to taste with the tasty Tuscan cuisine.
You will have time for stroll throw the village of Bolgheri, situated at the end of a unique boulevard lined up by old cypress trees. After a little time for some shopping we are off to the next winery: a private tour of the estate followed by a second Super Tuscan wine tasting will help you to understand the delicate and smooth flavor of these wines.
We will gently ride back at the end of the tour not before having an italian gelato on the beach.
