SHORE EXCURSION DESCRIPTION

If you are on Cruise on the Mediterranean Sea and your ship is docking in Livorno you can have the opportunity to enjoy your Private Livorno Shore Excurtion with a personal luxury vehicle and an English speaking Driver, that will bring you from Livorno to Florence, one of the most beautiful and important cities in Italy reknown al over the world.
Florence is the Capital of Tuscany and is the cradle of the Renaissance, it is the birth place of some of the most important artists such as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and scientists like Galileo Galilei who left an invaluable artistic and cultural heritage and this alone makes it worth the visit.
Florence is also known for some awesome craftmanship which during the ages has come to that line that is a guarantee of quality: "Made in Italy". You will find the finest Tuscan Leather produce, the Italian Gold Jewellery art, the shops that display the best of Italian and international fashion and you will stroll in a lively and international environment.
Florence is within Italy a great spot to taste some outstanding Tuscan food, special Tusca wines of the region such as Chianti or Brunello and last but not the least a fantastic "Gelato".

Our suggested tour will highlight Piazzale Michelangelo for a breathtaking view of the city. We will continue along the old Medieval City Walls to reach Ponte Vecchio, known as the golden bridge, next to Pitti Palace, which became the residency of the Medici family. From here we will proceed on to Santa Croce, a gothic church known as the pantheon of Florence, because of the important people buried in it and to name a few: Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli. After we will head off to the Academia museum to see Michelangelo's famous David (we will book the skip the line access in your name if this is something you wouldn't want to miss).
After lunch at a characteristic Trattoria or Ristorante away from the tourist traps we will focus on the core of Florence: the religious center, with its Cathedral, Bell Tower and Baptistery, and the political center with its Palazzo Vecchio or town hall in Piazza Signoria, which itself is an open air museum. After a little time for shopping and a great Gelato, at the right place, we will drive you back in time to board your ship.
